Rajul Shah
Rajul Shah (b. 1968, Mumbai) is a contemporary artist whose artistic formation includes mentorships with Masters in Japan, studies at Temple Tokyo Tyler School of Art and La Salle College of the Arts in Singapore. Her practice is informed by a previous two decades of work in the healthcare industry, shaping a layered visual philosophy attentive to healing and transformation.
Her work merges Kintsugi, chakric symbolism and inquiries into the balance of energy within the human body. Layered tonalities, and luminous golden or monochromatic lines hold fragmented structures together; representing metaphors for renewal and the reconstruction of brokenness.
Shah documents emotional and physical resilience as an evolutionary process considering the limits of medical intervention while affirming an energetic phenomenon inherent in the healing process. Her oeuvre (shaped by Indian origins, US upbringing, Japanese study, and a dual base in Singapore and the US) imbues her work with universal resonance.
Rajul Shah has exhibited internationally across Santa Fe, New York, Japan, Singapore, Mumbai, Italy and Germany. She has been featured in Lines & Curves with Arts To Hearts (2024), Art Seen Magazine (2025) and Create Magazine(2025). She has also been featured in the January 2026 edition of Harper’s Bazaar Singapore. Among other awards, Shah's work has also received an Honorable Mention in the Artists Magazine's 42nd Annual Art Competitionpublished in January 2026 and “Highly Commended” in the Homien’s Art Prize Fall 2025.
“My goal is for my art to create meditative spaces where one can seek respite from from imperfect experiences and feel renewed energy””
