About Canvas Connections

Canvas Connections is a Singapore-based collective of female artists committed to a shared standard: that the work comes first. Members are selected for the seriousness and distinctiveness of their practice. They exhibit independently and collectively — locally, and at international art fairs and institutional venues.

Sponsored and exhibited by Zubaadhi Studio & Gallery, the collective is a platform for artists who are ready — and for collectors who are looking.

Works

Heart Chakra
$0.00

60 × 90 cm
Acrylic on canvas
Rose quartz, green agate and jade

ENQUIRE

“Heart Chakra” radiates in luminous emerald green — the frequency of compassion, renewal and living truth. At its centre rests the sacred heart chakra symbol, inspired by the ancient energy system of Anahata, gently emanating straight rays of dotted light. These precise lines extend outward like energetic transmissions, suggesting love in motion; intentional, focused, and infinitely expanding.

Shades of green merge with soft pink, harmonising the heart’s dual qualities of strength and tenderness. Green embodies growth, balance and connection to Earth; pink whispers of unconditional love and emotional healing. Together, they create a field of compassionate equilibrium.

Embedded within the piece are Jade and Green Aventurine. Jade carries the frequency of harmony, wisdom and serene protection. Green Aventurine, known as the stone of opportunity, supports heart healing and emotional renewal. Their energies subtly amplify the intention of the work — to open, soothe and strengthen the heart centre.

This piece is an invocation: a reminder that love is not passive, it radiates, it reaches, it transforms. 💗💚

"Coastal Colours 2" is part of a series of abstract paintings that captures the essence of a serene seashore where the sea, sand, and sky converge. This artwork embodies both dynamism and tranquility, reflecting the ever-changing yet calming nature of the ocean. I am deeply drawn to the ocean, finding inspiration in everything about it—the crashing waves, the soft sand, and the shifting hues of the sea across different times of day and seasons. This painting is my attempt to encapsulate a single fleeting moment from the infinite beauty and inspiration the ocean offers.

Ti Plant
$0.00

101 × 76cm
Oil on canvas

ENQUIRE

The inspiration behind "Ti Plant" oil painting in blue shades stems from a desire to explore the intersection of nature and imagination through color. The ti plant, known for its vibrant green and red foliage, is reimagined in a serene palette of blues to evoke a sense of calm and introspection.

The choice of blue shades reflects the plant’s symbolic qualities of transformation and resilience, with each hue representing different facets of its essence. The cool tones of blue convey a sense of tranquility and depth, inviting viewers to experience the ti plant not just as a living entity but as a source of peaceful contemplation. The use of oil paint enhances the rich, layered quality of the blue tones, capturing the subtle variations and nuances of the plant’s leaves. This approach creates a soothing and dreamlike atmosphere, allowing the ti plant to emerge as a symbol of quiet strength and serene beauty.

Overall, the painting serves as a meditative exploration of how nature can be transformed through artistic vision, encouraging viewers to see familiar subjects from a fresh and contemplative perspective.
