ABOUT LATANA
LATANA is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, fragility, and the emotional weight of a world in flux. Working across painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, she creates layered compositions where beauty and fracture coexist — luminous surfaces emerging from tension.
Born in the United States and based in Singapore, she began her career in photography before expanding into sculpture and mixed media. Painting has become a focused space where her investigations into rupture, resilience, and quiet endurance converge.

“Through my creations, I aim to evoke contemplation on the passing of time, the fragility of life and invite the viewers to explore their own emotional worlds.”
She is the author of three photographic books — Fragments, The Phukthar Monastery, and Barely Exposed. Her documentary series Sabah: Land Below the Wind is held in the permanent collection of the Sabah Museum. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in public and private collections. Her current practice continues to explore what survives fracture — and how light persists, even when fragile.
