KAVITA CHACHCHA

ABOUT KAVITA

Kavita Chachcha is a former architect and a visual artist based out of Singapore. Kavita has explored a diverse range of creative paths, including architecture in hospitality design, digital marketing, graphic design, and brand development. However, art has remained a constant presence in their life since childhood. A creativity-driven approach to life continues to inspire and motivate her, particularly in this stage of midlife. She finds deep joy in engaging with experimental and imaginative work, using it as means to bring greater meaning and fulfillment into her life.

Kavita’s artistic practice reinterprets fragmented memories and experiences drawn from the many facets of her creative global nomadic journey. Through layered compositions, she creates vivid dreamscapes often influenced by architectural forms—from historic landmarks to intimate street-side cafés. Through her work, she seeks to capture the rhythm of everyday life across themes, inviting her artistic audience to discover a sense of familiarity and personal connection.

In my art I like to like to connect contemporary style with cultural abstraction. Different ideas allow me to express different emotions in a story telling manner. Art, I create is driven by image, medium and process constructed by my background in architecture. A new identity breathes life on to my canvas through its design interface and juxtapositioning of interconnected, unfinished fragments of Travel & photography, festival & saree clad women, vintage lamps & lanterns, doors & windows, tropical greens and other such elements.
— Kavita Chachcha

As an artist, my style is both reflective and experimental, blending minimal contemporary aesthetics with elements of cultural abstraction. My creative process centers on discovering a deep emotional release through fluid brushstrokes and the use of symbolic markings. I am drawn to the freedom of expression that art offers, especially through the interplay of color, composition, elements and fine details.
