SWATI SINGH

EXPLORING NATURE’S VIBRANCE THROUGH ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONISM.

My work is inspired by natural surroundings, the continuous cycles of growth and decay, continuity and disruption, or, in essence, life itself in its simultaneous fragility and eternal strength. The heart and soul of my work are color and shape. Every piece of work I make is a conversation between me and the medium. It is a journey of self-discovery with no preordained end. There are periods of fluidity, followed by periods of obstinacy, followed by more of the same, until something clicks and the pieces seemingly all fall in place, all in a delicate balance.

I strive to capture this balance and harmony in my work, beautifully illustrated by nature as it runs riot with shapes, sounds and colors without ever grating the senses. The paintings explore expressiveness of colors, forms and the sense of flow. Through the depth of its layers, and through its ebbs and flows, it celebrates the moments that constitute life. It inspires us to celebrate all these moments with child-like innocence and inexhaustible joie-de-vivre!

HEAR MY DREAMS

ACRYLIC, CHARCOAL, COLLAGE, OIL PASTEL ON CANVAS

Dreams are fragile. Dreams are fleeting. Dreams are real. Dreams are what keeps us awake during the day. Dreams are what keeps us sleeping through the night. Dreams are the stories we are afraid to tell anyone. Dreams are the stories we want to live someday. Dreams are life! To not dreams is to not live at all. Cheers to all the dreamers out here.
