YASHIKA AGGARWAL

INTUITION’S INTROSPECTION.

My art is a vulnerable reflection of my soul, an intimate journal that encapsulates my everyday journey through motherhood and the practice of yoga. It is through this artistic process that I explore and interpret the interconnectedness of life's energies. These boundless forces shape our thoughts, emotions, and actions, constantly evolving but never truly fading away.

In my artworks, I strive to capture and convey these energies, allowing viewers to connect with them and experience their own emotional responses. Love, the most powerful of my emotions, whether it be the love of a child, a lover, or a devotee, serves as the foundation of my creative expression. It imbues my creations with vibrancy, vitality, intricacy, and a quiet stillness amidst their complexity.

I employ a diverse range of lines in my artwork to convey the dynamic flow of energies. By weaving textures and layering them upon one another, I seek to represent both the solidity and fluidity of these forces as they manifest in the world. To relinquish the reigns to my true inner self, I release the need for meticulous planning. Instead, I trust my intuition, embracing the unknown and fearlessly rejecting the constraints imposed by the mind.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Yashika, a multifaceted individual, embraces various roles including that of an abstract artist, a devoted mother to a lively three-year-old, an avid yoga practitioner, and a former Business Process Consultant at Singtel. She navigates realms that transcend our ordinary senses, immersing herself in the exploration of actions, thoughts, intentions, and emotions that exist as ethereal energies.

She studied the Western Abstract course at NAFA Singapore, retiring from her 10 year corporate career to dedicate her life to her artistic calling while focusing on her inner self through yoga. She actively likes to offer some of her time to volunteer in art and yogic communities which helps her clear her mind off worldly affairs.  Her artistic expression is nurtured by the exuberant chaos and limitless imagination found in motherhood, as well as her transformative experiences in the realm of yoga and meditation.
