What media of art do you work in?
I work with acrylic paints and also incorporate lots of other mediums like pastels, inks, alcohol inks, markers ,pencils. I work with collage too which incorporates paper , fabric.

How would you describe your genre of painting?
Abstract Art.

Can you describe your creative process?  When you begin a painting, do you have an idea of what the end result is? Do you prepare sketches first?  Do you know the colors you are going to use?
As an artist what motivates me to paint is peaceful and relaxed mind. I am also highly motived with bright mornings and soft music, birds chirping. Just the freshness of the morning and the beauty of nature .when I begin to paint it’s just by a mark on the clear canvas. I let my free flowing emotions guide me. I also never know what the end result is going to be. I do have the colors in my mind but the color pallete is also guided by my emotions.

What is the message you want people to take away from your artwork?
Since I paint abstracts, the viewers and free to interpret. I want to evoke emotions of joy and happiness and love.

100 years from now, how do you want people to remember you as an artist?
I want to be remembered as an artist whose paintings brought joy to people. I want to be remembered as artist whose paintings evoke emotions of love and happiness.

What is your favourite praise you have received from a client or about your work?
Your paintings emit peace and beauty.

What are your hobbies outside of Art?

I love to workout. I am a swimmer, horse rider and an avid traveller.

What is an interesting piece of trivia about you that people don’t know?
I am an ex-flight attendant and since my husband was in Merchant navy I had to quit and sail with him. I am widely travelled while working and then sailing with my husband. This gave me opportunity to see lots of places of beauty and feel their varied culture and heritage.

Give me one or two sentences about your family?
I am a mother of two kids. One of them is a university kid studying in US. My second born is 12 1/2 years old. My husband works in the oil & gas field.

What has been your strongest influence in your art career thus far?
Bright cheerful mornings filled with nature’s sounds and music has been the biggest influence on my artworks. The beauty of nature and the beautiful season of fall, winter and spring gives me the rush of adrenaline to paint my emotions.

What is your vision for yourself as an artist 5 years from now?
I want to keep growing as an artist, learn new techniques and keep creating art. I aspire to be a known abstract artist. I also wish to be a global Artist and want to travel with my art.

Which one is your favorite artwork you have ever done and tell us why?
One of my favourite art work. While creating it I felt  freedom and a rush of overpowering emotion of release and happiness. It’s a vibrate palette. It was sold to a loving family at Affordable Art Fair Singapore 2023.
